Please note: All Non High Risk Patients ages between 50 and 64 years old, will not be eligible for a vaccine before November 2020 subject to stock.

Recipients of Flucelvax Tetra – From 9 years

Children flu vaccines:

2020/2021 Fluenz® Tetra (LAIV) – AstraZeneca – From 24 months to less than 18 years of age  Quadrivalent LAIV (live attenuated influenza vaccine) supplied as nasal spray suspension. **** Please note: In GP surgery children 2 and 3 year olds (born between 01 Sep 2016 and 31 Aug 2018), plus children in clinical risk groups from age 4 to <18 years are entitled for this vaccine. However, children from Reception to Year 7 will be vaccinated in school. Please see below*****

School Delivery Childhood Flu Vaccine Uptake Programme 2020-21

The 2020-21 nasal flu vaccinations will be offered in schools to all children in:

  • reception (aged 4 rising to 5 years),
  • year 1 (aged 5 rising to 6 years),
  • year 2 (aged 6 rising to 7 years),
  • year 3 (aged 7 rising to 8 years),
  • year 4 (aged 8 rising to 9 years),
  • year 5 (aged 9 years rising to 10 years),
  • year 6 (aged 10 years rising to 11 years) and
  • year 7 (aged 11 rising to 12 years) in England.

2020/2021 Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine (split virion, inactivated) (QIVe) – Sanofi Pasteur – QIVe (standard egggrown quadrivalent influenza vaccine), split virion, inactivated  – injection given from 6 months. ****This vaccine is an inactivated vaccine (QIVe) for children  aged 6 months to <9 years in clinical risk groups for whom LAIV is unsuitable.****
